ASSOCHAM honours Dr Oetker India with Best Food Machinery/Equipment Award

Dr Oetker India, a leading purveyor of western cuisine to India was honoured with the Best Food Machinery/Equipment Award by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) at the 10th International Food Processing Summit and Awards.

With a strong foothold in the food processing sector, ASSOCHAM has been organising various meetings, summits and awards to facilitate communication between the government and the industry.

Oliver Mirza, managing director and chief executive officer, Dr Oetker India, said, “We are thrilled to have been honoured with this prestigious award from ASSOCHAM. The acknowledgment by industry partners only encourages us to continue to perform better and endlessly work towards our motto, quality is the best recipe.”

“We have done a decent job through the last decade in terms of changing the dynamics of food processing, but we believe it is only a start. With the launch of our new state-of-the-art plant in Kaharani, Rajasthan, next month, we aim to set new standards of excellence,” he added.

Mirza also addressed the session on Make in India – A Platform for Investment Opportunity in Food Processing Sector and through 100 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI) in Food Retail.

The event brought together industry experts, policy makers and academicians from India and around the world who brainstormed to make India the food bowl of the world and push for the Make in India initiative of the government of India.

He shared insights on Dr Oetker’s journey in India and the company’s initiatives for the next few years.
