JBT Corporation introduced the Stein JSO-C Compact Jet Stream Oven, the latest in thermal process innovation and an ideal solution for food producers who need a hygienically superior design for a continuous process at a low throughput requirement. The new JSO-C was on display at the 2017 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta, Georgia.
As the demand for poultry continues to increase, processors are expanding their operations to keep up and, for many of them, that means changing how they process. Moving from batch processing to a continuous line is a natural step as operations grow, and JBT has designed an oven that is the perfect introductory step.
The 24”- (600mm) wide belt linear oven is designed for the most demanding applications and regulatory environments. In addition, it is designed to allow easy access to every surface, with focal points being on cleaning and inspection in an effort to keep the work environment safe for maintenance, sanitation and quality.
JBT’s patented impingement cooking technology helps to create the most consistent and reliable cooking oven on the market, producing predictable and superior products.
“This is a perfect solution for start-ups, customers upgrading a tech centre or testing facility and processors with smaller production capacity,” explained Brendon Somerfield, product line manager with JBT. “With this oven, our customers are able to achieve precise process control in a smaller footprint,” he added.
For poultry production, changes to the belt (changed to mesh), heat source (changed to thermal fluid or electric) and transition chambers (elongated to accommodate cooking times) will be customised to optimise production and ensure a consistent, superior-quality product.
