Whisky brand Glenfiddich has partnered with The Dram Club for a tasting session. Slated to take place at KODE between 7:30pm and 9:30pm on July 13, 2019, the session will witness the showcase of Glenfiddich Experimental Series - Project XX (pronounced 20) and IPA cask, along with Glenfiddich 15YO.

Priced at Rs 3,000, it will be hosted by Glenfiddich India’s brand ambassador, Angad Singh Gandhi, who has designed an exciting and truly experimental single malt experience.

Created from collaborations with like-minded individuals from a wide range of different industries, the Glenfiddich Experimental Series will focus on using unique and innovative production processes to offer a new kind of malt whisky experience.

While the IPA cask is the world’s first single malt Scotch whisky finished in India Pale Ale (IPA) craft beer casks, Project XX is a product of 20 whisky experts bringing together their personal favourites to create an innovative variant.

To further redefine, the rules of traditional single malt serve, the variants will be complimented by unusual elements such as beer, dark chocolate and caramelised nuts, to name a few. The tasting session will be followed by an exotic menu of hors d’oeuvre, specially handcrafted by KODE for the evening.

Gandhi said, “The Indian consumers today are becoming more open to experimenting with their whisky serves, but are not very well informed about the different variants available. With an endeavour to break the conventional approach to whisky, we are thrilled to be collaborating with The Dram Club and KODE, who resonate with our challenger spirit and the passion to push boundaries.”

He will also be presenting Glenfiddich’s latest ground-breaking initiative, Glenfiddich Experiments, during the session. The initiative provides for a series of elixirs that are a blend of exotic spices handpicked from India’s diverse landscape to magically fuse with the Glenfiddich 12, uplifting its sublime taste to even greater heights.

Adding to the excitement of organising the first-of-its-kind experimental session, Vinayak Singh, co-founder, The Dram Club, said, “As a platform, we constantly look out for collaborations that connect the passion people share for whisky. We are particularly proud and excited about this initiative that promises be a revolution for single-malt lovers. With Glenfiddich’s unique variants and the unusual pairings curated, I am confident that the refreshing experience will intrigue and delight the attendees.”

Adding to the excitement of the trendsetting collaboration, Zorawar Kalra, founder and managing director, Massive Restaurants Pvt Ltd, said, “Given KODE’s ethos of being a culinary destination where innovation and tradition are both honoured, this initiative brings together minds that complement our goals perfectly. We have the largest spirits library in the country, and are thrilled to host this innovative whisky tasting session that we hope sparks a pathbreaking new palate culture.”
