Samarth Setia, founder, Mr. Milkman, was awarded the prestigious AIFPA (All India Food Processors’ Association) 75th Platinum Jubilee Award for the significant contributions he has made towards creating a platform that helps dairies get connected directly with consumers.
The association organised its 75th anniversary celebration at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. It was attended by Harsimrat Kaur Badal, minister for food processing industries (MoFPI), Government of India, and other notable dignitaries.
L N Gupta, additional chief secretary, micro-, small and medium enterprises department, Government of Odisha, conferred the award on Setia for his contributions to the dairy industry, where he has introduced technology to reduce the dependency on traditional methods of keeping accounts.
With 100 per cent data security, transparency in approach and analytical inputs, dairies can now focus on production, while Mr. Milkman takes care of the entire supply chain management.
On winning the award, Setia said, “It is an honour to receive this award. The dairy industry has a long way to go in terms of development and introduction of technology, but hopefully there will be a time soon when we can look at an organised sector, aided by the automation of processes.”
Established in 1943, AIFPA has played an integral part in the Indian food industry with regard to the introduction of innovative technology, boosting the marketing infrastructure, smoothening out the logistics processes, etc.
