CFIA has asked people to check if they have recalled products at their home. Recalled products should be either thrown out or returned to the store at which they were purchased.
It also stated that if a person is allergic to almonds, he/she should not consume the recalled products as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.
There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.
Background CFIA’s investigation may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, it will notify the public through updated food recall warnings.
The agency is verifying that the industry is removing recalled products from the marketplace.
