Intertek, a leading total quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, and the British Retail Consortium (BRC) helped raise awareness about food safety and quality concerns in India by conducting four seminars.

The sessions, which were attended by food manufacturers, exporters and distributors, were held in Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and Kolkata.

They were addressed by Tessa Kelly, operations director, BRC Trading; John Figgins, technical specialist, food, BRC Global Standards, and Siyaram Tiwari, head, food services, Intertek India.

Tiwari said, “Intertek has been in the business of providing control solutions for decades. Hence we believe that it is our responsibility to conduct such knowledge-sharing platforms.”

“The purpose of these sessions was to educate the industry about the new global quality standards and latest trends in food packaging and trading, along with Intertek’s expertise in providing 360-degree support for all food safety needs,” he added.

As a leading quality assurance provider in India and globally, Intertek’s expertise gives trust and assurance to thousands of organisations. Its one-stop shop of management system auditing, supplier auditing and certification helps its clients meet their commitments to food safety.
