Mumbai’s White Owl introduces first edition of Culinary Collaborations

fiogf49gjkf0d On the occasion of its first anniversary, The White Owl proudly introduces Mumbai to the first essay of Culinary Collaborations – a quarterly event where executive chef Kshama Prabhu teams up with a renowned food connoisseur to create a special supplementary menu available all day at The White Owl over a period of 45 days. The first edition would feature Nikhil Merchant of Nonchalant Gourmand (www.nonchalantgourmand.com).
Their collaboration would result in an eclectic offering of fifteen unique dishes combining small plates, salads, large plates and desserts. Whereas the specials menu has been carefully constructed to reflect seasonal ingredients, fresh local produce and the duo’s inimitable style, each dish vivdly reflects the personal tastes of both chefs and the culinary methods incorporated in their daily cooking with a juxtaposition of flavours from around the world.
Prabhu and Merchant recommended trying every single dish on the menu. The latter short-listed his favourites (Grilled Green Apple Galette, Baby Clam, Sugar-Snap Peas and Grilled Chorizo entrée and Oeufs en Meurette). The former recommended the Smoked Chicken and Fig Sliders, the Traditional Spicy Chicken Wings and the Fig-Chocolate and Kaffir Lime Mille-Feuille.
