Doha
Holiday Inn - a part of the InterContinental Hotels Group, one of the world’s leading hotel companies - made its debut in Qatar with the opening of Holiday Inn Doha - The Business Park in partnership with the Trans Orient Group, founded by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Thani.

Located on Al Matar Street, the hotel, which is the 24th Holiday Inn property in the Middle-East, is a part of The Business Park complex, which houses a number of financial, medical, government and commercial offices. It is a 15-minute drive from Hamad International Airport.

It offers signature dining concepts, such as Sirocco (an Italian restaurant) and Stock Burger & Co (a burger-centric franchise). Pascal Gauvin, chief operating officer, India, the Middle-East and Africa, IHG, said, “We are thrilled to open our first Holiday Inn hotel in Qatar, in partnership with the Trans Orient Group.”

“We are especially honoured to partner on the second hotel with Al Thani, and we are confident that Holiday Inn Doha - The Business Park will be as successful as our first venture together, Crowne Plaza Doha - The Business Park,” he added.

Al Thani said, “It is our pleasure to once again work with IHG to bring the Holiday Inn brand to Qatar, and to grow our hospitality portfolio.”

“IHG brings a strong, global distribution system along with one of the world’s largest loyalty programmes, which will add great value to the hotel’s world-class facilities and favourable location. We are confident of seeing a good performance from the hotel in the months to come,” he added.

IHG currently has 80 hotels operating across five of the company’s brands in the Middle-East, including InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites, with a further 27 in the development pipeline.
