Between August 11 and 20, 2017, Saptami, at Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport, will host the Bunts food festival, celebrating the cuisine of the south-west coast of Karnataka.

A striking feature of the dinner buffet, which commences at 7pm and concludes at 11:30pm, is the use of ground ingredients, coconut (in the forms of oil and milk and in the grated form) and ingredients like tamarind, kokum, chilli and pepper for flavouring.

Priced at Rs 1,399 plus taxes, the menu includes Kori Rotti, Pulli Munchi, Yeti Ghassi, Bunt Chicken Curry, Ghee Roast, Kori Sukka, Kori Kachpu, Basele Kudu Ta Gasi, Manoli Chana-a-Jadina, Sambhar, Saar, Kudu Saar, Neer Dosa, Idli and Pundi.

As is the case in Mangaluru (the city from where the Bunt community originates), these will be accompanied by an assortment of freshly-ground chutneys, including mango, Podi, prawn, Bollingee, red chili and Nungel Meen.
