Lounge network Plaza Premium bags Favourite Airport Lounge Food award

Serving a range of local and international (glocal) cuisine has helped Plaza Premium Lounge, which is the world’s largest and award-winning independent airport lounge network, and manages three locations in India, to win the Favourite Airport Lounge Food award at the Peak Life Gourmet Awards 2019. The ceremony took place at Eros Hotel, New Delhi, recently.
“It gives us immense pleasure to be recognised for our Indian culinary specialties that have been carefully thought out and implemented by our talented global culinary team,” said Mohan Limbu, regional general manager, Plaza Premium Group, India.
“Dining at the airport goes beyond offering delicious food,our dining concepts represents our local culture and heritage bringing in a sense of place to travellers around the world,” he added.
“Receiving this award further strengthens our goal to make travel better through providing a best-in-class airport experience which includes serving a wide variety of food and beverage offerings, and ultimately creating something for everyone,” Limbu said.
PeakLife Gourmet Award is a national award that brings industry leaders together and recognises and felicitates the best and most unique cuisines and services available in the country. It celebrates the best food experiences, leading hospitality leaders and the right set of audience under one roof with over 30 categories.
Plaza Premium Lounge in India is being run by the joint venture company Premium Port Lounge Management Company Private Limited (India), incorporated by Dinesh Jhunjhunwala and Song Hoi-see.
In addition to Plaza Premium Lounge, the group also operates Allways, a meet-and-greet service for a seamless end-to-end airport experience in Delhi. In July 2018, an extension of the flagship brand, Plaza Premium First, was launched to offer a refined, elevated lounge experience for elite travellers.
The brand has been awarded the world’s best independent airport lounge for four consecutive years from 2016 to 2019 at the Skytrax World Airline Awards, the global benchmark of aviation excellence, as well as the best independent airport lounge 2018 by Business Traveller Asia Pacific magazine and best airport lounge operator 2018 by TTG Asia magazine.
