Thirteen members of the management board of the Turkish Flour Industrialists Federation (TUSAF) took up an invitation from Mühlenchemie, the German specialist in flour improvement and flour fortification. During the four-day visit, the visitors were offered a comprehensive programme directed towards the transfer of know-how.
The itinerary also included visits to the Stern Technology Centre in Ahrensburg, near Hamburg, the production facility and FlourWorld Museum in Wittenburg and the mill Flechtdorfer Mühle near Wolfsburg. There was mutual transfer of information on the technologies and possibilities available through visits to production facilities.
Lennart Kutschinski, managing director, food ingredients, and director, Stern-Wywiol Gruppe GmbH & Co KG, emphasized Mühlenchemie’s close ties with Turkey and Turkish mills, by saying, “For years, we have had deep roots in the Turkish milling industry, and with Stern Ingredients Turkey in Izmir, we have set a further sign.”
E Günhan Ulusoy, chairman, TUSAF, thanked Mühlenchemie for the invitation on behalf of the whole board. The cultural exchange took the form of a welcome dinner at a typical Hamburg fish restaurant, and a visit to the Volkswagen Autostadt in Wolfsburg brought the visit to a successful conclusion.
