Pullman Jakarta Hotel to host Asia Fruit Logistica roadshow on March 18

A roadshow for Asia Fruit Logistica is slated to take place at 10am in the Gallery Room on the second floor of Pullman Jakarta Hotel on March 18, 2020.

The registration and welcome will span 30 minutes, and be followed by a five-minute session of refreshments and the welcome remarks by the emcee.

The keynote address will commence at 10:35am, and will revolve around Indonesia horitculture trends and challenges. The 45-minute session, which will be presented by Dr Ir Prihasto Setyanto, director general, directorate general of horticulture, Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesia.

He will speak about new government regulations on horticultural imports, government policies to support Indonesian horticultural exports, horticulture production trends and challenges, and building a modern Indonesian horticulture industry.

Souvenirs will be presented between 11:30am and 11:35pm. This will also be a coffee break.

Commencing at 11:35am, there will be a 15-minute session titled Fantastic Superfoods and Super Fruit from Peru. It will focus on unique delicacies of Peru for the Asian market, by Erick Aponte, trade commissioner, Promperu (trade commission of Peru in South-East Asia).

The topic of the next session, which will be 20 minutes long, is Consumer Behaviour and Retail Trends in Fresh Produce Issues Discussed. The presenter - Ira Soekirman, director, Roy Morgan, Research Agency - will speak about consumer and retail market trends - 2020 and beyond; understanding consumer shopping behaviour, and online shopping - new retail platforms for delivery of fresh produce.

The 20-minute session - which is titled Making Your Mark Through at Asia Fruit Logistica, and will commence at 12:10pm - will revolve around the keys to growing Indonesia’s fresh produce business at Asia’s fresh produce hub. It will be presented by Sinenart Baramirattanachai, the event director.

There will be a panel discussion and a question-and-answer session between 12:30pm and 1pm. It will be moderated by John Hey, editor, Asiafruit Magazine. The panel will comprise Fedie Mulia of HaloFresh, Hendry Sim of Laris Manis and Meshvara Kanjara of Ranch Market.

The seminar will conclude with a lucky draw and lunch between 1pm and 2pm.
