BCD iLabs, successfully launched the groundbreaking book, The AI for Food Movement, at Microsoft’s Times Square. This landmark event brought together a diverse group of leaders from artificial intelligence, business, and the food and beverage industries to explore the transformative potential of AI in reshaping the global food ecosystem.
A panel discussion featuring industry experts - Mohamed Najjar, senior director at PepsiCo and board member of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), Vinay Indraganti, founder of BCD iLabs, Balamurugan Balakreshnan, chief of AI at Microsoft, Alex Davisson, senior ventures associate, Plug and Play Tech Centre and Ravi Karkara, co-founder of the AI for Food Global Initiative delved into the cutting-edge intersection of AI and food.
Participants explored how AI is driving innovation across all stages of the food industry, from research and development to improving sustainability and consumer engagement.
Beyond a traditional book launch, the event served as a platform for thought leaders to share their vision for a future where AI revolutionizes food production, safety, and sustainability. Attendees left inspired and eager to collaborate on future initiatives that will push the boundaries of what's possible in the food industry.
The Book was presented to the Consul General of India Binay Srikanta Pradhan in New York, underscoring the initiative's global significance. The delegation discussed the need for strengthening ties between India and USA on advancing AI for Food.
