Honey maker APIS India ropes in badminton ace Sindhu as brand ambassador

APIS India, which produces, distributes and exports honey under the APIS Himalaya brand, has roped in the 21-year-old badminton champion and Rio silver medallist P V Sindhu as its brand ambassador.

She said, “I couldn't be more thrilled to be associated with APIS India. I identify myself with them, as we both believe in giving our best and proving our mettle on the international stage.”

“There is an absolute sync in our ideologies and being identified by them is recognition in itself. A trusted association helps a player in the right direction and keeps all other worries off the court,” Sindhu added.

Amit Anand, joint managing director, APIS India, said, “This is one of the most crucial associations that we identify with. APIS India is immensely proud to associate with Sindhu, one of the youngest and finest badminton champion of today.”

“Her achievements are a reflection of her dedication and passion to bring glory to her country and present it on the global stage, that resonates well with what we intend to do through our brand,” he added.

“We are sure that this association with inspire our consumers to opt for APIS India, products with maximum nutritional value,” Anand stated.

As part of focusing on the domestic market, the company introduced two honey variants – APIS Himalaya and APIS Himalaya Gold – in the retail market. The product is available at more than 80,000 counters across India across general trade and modern trade chains.

APIS Himalaya products are available in 50g to 1kg packs in the retail market. APIS Honey is one of the few True Source-certified honey available in India. It is produced in non-genetically-modified organism- (GMO) certified plants to maintain the highest value of nutrients in the honey.

Apart from honey, APIS India also produces cookies, tea and preserves.
