Somey’s Kitchen has unveiled the first-of-the-kind range of prawn and fish pickled masalas, which are a part of Somey Samuel’s homemade picked masala range, which is inspired by the essence of Kerala.

The pickled masalas are ready to eat and contain healthy and probiotic spices, making them a versatile side dish that can be consumed with rice and curry, fried rice, bread or potatoes, as well as in other ways. The spices are preserved naturally to maintain their authenticity.

The brand, which is popular with Indians living in the United Kingdom, has already expanded its product range to include chicken pickled masalas and Indian breads, such as traditional whole-wheat, organic and gluten-free chapati and puris. It aspires to launch new products every three to six months.

Somey’s Kitchen now intends to bring the flavours home, and for this, it has tied up with large modern retail chains across Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru, including Big Basket, Nature’s Basket, Star Bazaar and the Gen Nex stores of Big Bazaar. While the prawn pickled masalas are priced at Rs 250, the chicken ad fish variants are priced at Rs 240.
