Our Bureau, Mumbai
LB Consumer Goods has launched two products in India under its brand Ray - NoSugar and Honey - with Easy Snap technology. They are available in single-use sachets, which are convenient and mess-free.

While Ray NoSugar, a liquid natural sweetener made from pure stevia extract, packs in the sweetness of two teaspoons of sugar, Ray Honey is a 100 per cent pure and organic brand of unprocessed honey.

Stevia plant leaf is 400 times sweeter than regular sugar, yet it does not add not even one calorie to the body.

People who have tried replacing sugar with sweeteners earlier may have gone back to their old ways because of the bitter aftertaste of most sweeteners. The Ray NoSugar is different - it does not require the consumer to compromise on taste and offers only sweetness in every sip. It is a 100 per cent natural replacement of cane sugar and can be used with all kinds of beverages.

This liquid sweetener is 100 per cent safe and can be consumed by everyone including diabetic, obese and health-conscious people. There are no added flavours, chemicals or additives, and it has absolutely no side-effects.

Rather, consuming Ray NoSugar will benefit people with diabetes and those trying to control their weight. It scores zero on the Glycaemic Index (GI) and does not increase blood sugar (glucose) or insulin levels in the body, which goes a long way in maintaining a healthy body and reducing risk of Type-II diabetes and heart disease.

It does not contain lactose, maltodextrin, dextrose, saccharine, aspartame and sucralose.

Ray NoSugar is currently available in packs of 45 Easy Snaps with leading e-commerce platforms, such as Amazon, Snapdeal and Flipkart.

Ray Honey
The innovative method of packaging honey in slim individual sachets is unmatched by any other brand in the Indian market. All one had to do is bend or fold the sachet in half and squeeze to let the honey out. These sachets are for one-time use. Due to their ease of portability and leak-proof designs, Ray honey sachets are perfect to be carried while travelling.

Ray Honey is untouched by any kind of preservative. The honey itself is unique in composition, as it is collected from bees that roam free in the tropical jungles that border Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. These wild forests have a rich diversity of flora that allows the bees to collect pollen from various types of flowers and use them to make honey.

The natural honey produced by this process is far superior and healthier as compared to the honey that is produced in most commercial farms.

Another thing which distinguishes Ray honey is that only the best of uncontaminated honeycombs are hand-picked to obtain the honey, without using any unnecessary chemical processes. This also lends Ray honey a better quality, compared to other brands of honey in the market.

Ray honey will be available in the market soon in two variants - one box of 10 sachets and one box of 30 sachets, which, in itself, would be a box of three 10-sachet boxes.

Honey has innumerable uses, and due to its medicinal properties it is widely used in Ayurveda as well as in cooking. Pure honey is an organic source of energy as it is made up of glucose and fructose, two kinds of essential sugars required by our body for functioning properly.

Honey also contains anti-oxidants such as polyphenols, which increase blood flow, prevent blood clots and reduce the oxidative stress in the body. This leads to a strengthened immune system.

It is recommended that it should be consumed to counter flu symptoms like cough and cold. It is also a digestion aid which helps to soothe the stomach.

The most common and popular use of honey is in weight management, in combination with lemon juice and warm water.

Ray honey is honey in its most natural form and it can be safely used by people of all age groups.
