Joshi appointed food & beverage director, InterContinental Marine Drive

Rahul Joshi has been appointed as food and beverage director at InterContinental Marine Drive. He has 15-plus years of experience in food and beverage business development and operations.
His work experience has resulted in working in managerial positions with international luxury brands like the JW Marriott, InterContinental Hotels Group, The Taj Group of Hotels, and was also a part of standalone projects as a senior manager, consultant and operator.
With his tremendous efforts in relationship management, managing operations, understanding and application of brand concepts and business strategies in a highly competitive market, Joshi has been extremely forward towards the approach on conducting business, managing people and running operations.
While skill and qualifications are important criteria for a successful professional, one cannot discount the impetus passion for one’s job given in creating success stories. Joshi, who is armed with a diploma in business administration from the Auckland Institute of Studies, has also majored in marketing and business development.
To create an integrated 360-degree approach, he has also worked part-time as a duty manager at the Wynyard Quarter at Auckland Central. He also worked as a leisure travel consultant in Auckland with a travel wholesaler/tour operator operating in the Indian sub-continent (India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Maldives) with their sales offices based in Australia and New Zealand, among others.
