Malik appointed general manager, Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort and Spa

Shibil Malik was appointed the first general manager, Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort and Spa. He will be responsible for launching the premium resort property coming up on the city’s East Coast Road and positioning it as a destination in itself for unique experiences like no other.

He has previously held various positions in the company, and has been associated with Marriott’s premium distinct and classic brands – The Westin and Sheraton. Prior to this assignment, he was general manager, Sheraton, Hyderabad, where he headed a challenging assignment of successfully repositioning a conversion hotel.

With a broad spectrum of hospitality experience over the years, Malik has played a crucial role in strategising, repositioning and assisting in brand augmentation of many prestigious hotels in the country. He brings a wealth of experience of a total of 18 years to the position, complemented by highly respected sales excellence.

He is an avid golfer and gourmand, who loves to explore the world, sample global cuisines and keep himself abreast with the latest food trends and concepts.
