Mathew appointed sales & mktg director, Novotel Hotels & Resorts, Goa

AccorHotels appointed Sherin Mathew as director of sales and marketing for Novotel Hotels and Resorts, Goa. He has over 12 years’ experience in the areas of sales, business development, strategic planning and team management, and brings with him a sound understanding and a wealth of expertise in the sales and marketing function.
At Novotel Hotels and Resorts, Goa, his core responsibilities will include maximising hotels revenues through result-oriented sales and marketing strategies and exploring business opportunities through events. He possesses an intuitive understanding of brand management and is outstanding with his communication and leadership skills.
Prior to joining Accor Hotels, Mathew was director, sales and marketing, Hyatt Place Goa. He has been associated with some of the most renowned hotels, including Taj Hotels and Resorts Chennai, Taj Fisherman’s Cove Chennai, Hyatt Hotels in Chennai (Hyatt Regency) and Goa.
A master in people management and client servicing, his deep understanding of the hospitality industry is critical to his role as director of sales and marketing, Novotel Hotels and Resorts, Goa.

After pursuing his bachelor’s degree in hotel management from Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Management, Manipal, he started his career at Taj Coromandel, Chennai, before going on to hold various positions at leading hotel chains in India. A traveller and cooking enthusiast at heart, he enjoys reading in his spare time.
