Westin Hyd’s chef Padala bags Marriott Int’l Culinary Excellence Award

The Award of Culinary Excellence (ACE) has been conferred upon Mahesh Padala, executive chef at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, by Marriott International for his distinguished excellence, relentless dedication and never-ending passion for the culinary arts.

The hospitality group initiated the accolade to felicitate the company’s finest associates and honour its chefs for their extraordinary work and on-going contribution to the culinary world.

Padala has a diverse exposure in the culinary world owing to his career as a continental chef. His expertise lies in cooking European, Thai, South Indian and North Indian cuisines.

He possesses a simplistic and authentic cooking style that he derived from none other than his grandmother. Over the years, he has mastered the art of blending traditional herbs and spices to breed bold and distinct flavours into his food preparations, and is well recognised in Hyderabad for his conviction to maintain simplicity in creating his culinary masterpieces even today. He recently helmed the success of the newly-launched Super Saturday Brunch.

On this special occasion, Parag Sawhney, general manager, The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, said, “Our team is extremely proud of the win. Padala is an inspiration to all, as he tirelessly exhibits unparalleled passion for great food and true culinary leadership.”
