FreshMenu.com, one of India’s leading online restaurants, launched #MissionGoodFood, a campaign to discover the finest ingredients and flavours that will go into making the dishes Indian foodies relish. It will visit food joints, dhabas, fine dining restaurants and the residences of home cooks in five South Indian cities.
The mission received a great response from food lovers on social media. After evaluating the suggestions they received, the team zeroed in on Mysuru, Hubbali and Tumakuru (all in Karnataka), Palakkad (Kerala), Vellore (Tamil Nadu), besides the coastal state of Goa and the Union Territory of Puducherry.
Sandeepa & Chetan Sandeepa and Chetan are travel aficionados and foodies. They collaborated with FreshMenu for this mission, and travelled across the aforementioned territory. The food trip was fuelled by social media, which helped them plan their itinerary.
Fans on social media suggested eateries they must visit in their cities, and some of them invited them to their homes for meals. Every stop led to interesting stories about the chefs, ingredients and people who make them accessible to them.
The couple experienced the best dishes, recipes, ingredients and conversations with people from the cities they visited and on social media, strengthening Freshmenu.com’s belief in telling a great culinary story.
All the ingredients they collected on their tour will be used to curate the signature dishes of the portal, which has always looked at exploring exciting additions to their menu, which is inspired by cuisines across the globe and changes daily.
