Art exhibition Colours of Republic underway at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity

Colours of the Republic, an art exhibition commemorating 70 years of the Republic of India through paintings and sculptures, is underway at Artist Playground and Art Zone on the Lower Ground Floor and Lobby Level of Pullman New Delhi Aerocity, and will conclude in February 2020.
Guests recently had the chance to immerse themselves in a cocktail soiree for the unveiling of the exhibition, in association with the Asian Art House.
The specially-curated collection featured works of senior artists like Laxman Aelay, Amit Bhar, Vijayraj Bodhankar, Paramesh Paul, and Gourishankar Soni.
The hotel has one of the finest and fastest-growing collections of contemporary and traditional art.
The spectrum of these artworks beautifully depicts to viewers the ghats of Varanasi and glimpses of Rural India, along with its rich culture and tradition.
The depth and range of the artworks showcased are subjective and stunning, the common theme of these artworks being that they are by Indian artists and they celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of India.
Innovative and opulent, traditional and contemporary, the artwork varies from corridor to wall and cafe to meeting rooms.
The unveiling happened under the global concept of Artist Playground by Pullman, an innovative and inspiring initiative that comprises a permanent art space, depicting an amazing array of artworks that complement the luxury and design of the hotel.
Commenting on the unveiling, Biswajit Chakraborty, general manager delegate (area general manager), Pullman and Novotel New Delhi Aerocity, said, “We are delighted to host another exhibition of eminent artists from across the country at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity.”
“The art works around Colours of Republic theme, will be available for the guests at Art Zone and Artist Playground by Pullman,” he added.
Chakraborty said, “Given the brand’s commitment to art, we provide a platform to both emerging and prominent artists for display of their amazing array of artworks that complement the artistic design of the hotel. In line with our continued efforts to contribute to the society, a part of the sale proceeds goes to charity.”
The exhibition will also include spiritual works and a collection of abstracts from emerging artists like Bhaskar Rao Botcha, Manoj Das, Sanjay Tikkal, Stevan Gandhi, Sangeeta Babani, Dr Vimmie Manoj, and Sadaf Beg.
Patrons will see the exhibition of spectacular forms, magnificent textures and myriad hues at the Art Zone. The lobby of the hotel is known in the city for its tall ceilings, raindrop decor and Peacock theme, while the Art Zone is a vibrant space curated in collaboration with emerging and renowned artists who can showcase their work in a unique environment, which resonates with the Pullman’s philosophy of work and pleasure.
