Chef Mehrotra joins celebrities at Teacher’s Golden Thistle Awards ’19

The 2019 essay of the Teacher’s Golden Thistle Awards, which took place at a Mumbai five-star recently, witnessed the presence of chef Manish Mehrotra and such celebrities as actors Jim Sarbh, Nushrat Bharucha and Rahul Bose; choreographer and director Remo D’Souza, filmmaker Subhash Ghai, and billiards and snooker ace Pankaj Advani, among others.
Indians today value authenticity and genuineness rather than commercial success. Hence, the awards platform was created to celebrate and recognise those individuals who have carved a niche for themselves, and have set themselves to inspire people daily.
The awards were divided into seven categories. While four were in the areas of business, sports, entertainment and culture (culinary excellence), the others are special awards, which had been curated to encourage and celebrate genuine spirit.
