FMCG major Adani Wilmar Limited, which makes a range of food products under the brand name Fortune, has signed former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly for its new TV Commercial (TVC) of Fortune Soya Badi. The TVC, which will be released in the coming days, stresses on health, fitness, and nutrition - the qualities that Fortune stands for, according to a press release issued here recently.
Ganguly, said, "As a sportsman, being healthy and consuming immunity-boosting nutrients has always been important to me. This was the case during my playing days and even now. Moreover, Soya Badi is a great source of protein, and I believe it should be a part of everyone’s diet.”
Shiboprosad Mukherjee, who directed the TVC along with Nandita Roy, said, “An increasing number of girls are taking to sports now. We have tried to capture this trend by showing a girl playing cricket instead of a boy. The TVC also shows how the game of cricket is changing by introducing the pink ball in place of the traditional red ball and sends a succinct message about the importance of change to the viewer.”
The company makes and markets a whole range of food products, including edible oil, rice, atta, sugar, besan and ready-to-cook khichdi under the Fortune brand. It is one of the fastest-growing FMCG companies in the country, with a rapidly expanding product portfolio.
