MTR Foods Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of Norwegian conglomerate Orkla and a pioneering name in packaged foods in India, has unveiled ‘Rice Kodubale,’ an addition to its authentic range of snacks.

The product is a spicy twist to the popular bangle-shaped traditional Karnataka snack. Every bite of the authentic, delicious rings is crispy and crunchy with a hint of flavourful spices, according to the company.
MTR SnackUp was launched in 2013. It has now expanded to include more than 20 variants of snacks. Owing to fresh ingredients and authentic taste, the range has a long shelf life, thus making all the variants, the ideal tea or coffee partners, or just as quick on-the-go snacks.

Commenting on the launch, Vikran Sabherwal, VP, marketing, MTR Foods, said that Kodubale was a widely known snack in Karnataka and enjoyed across the state.

“With the introduction of Rice Kodubale variant in our SnackUp range we have added another appetising, fresh choice for our consumers. We are confident that Rice Kodubale, with its authentic, spicy and crunchy flavours will be enjoyed by all,” he added.

The new snack will be available at neighbourhood grocery stores and modern trade stores in 180 gm packs priced at Rs 50 each.

The company has a diverse portfolio including breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks and desserts that cover every meal occasion that are packaged in innovative and convenient formats. It adheres to  most stringent quality standards, from sourcing ingredients to processing and packing. The company is ISO 22000- and HACCP-certified.
