Sofitel Wine Days’ 2018 edition underway in BKC; To conclude on Oct 31

Sofitel Mumbai BKC, AccorHotels’ French luxury brand, launched the 2018 edition of Sofitel Wine Days recently. At the event, which will conclude on October 31, guests will be offered an array of international wines to discover the characteristics and taste profiles of each wine.
Events hosted by master sommeliers will provide guests an opportunity to embark on an odyssey full of surprises, providing a platform to discover exotic flavours and varieties. This initiative allows the 120 Sofitel Hotels and Resorts worldwide to come together to celebrate wine with the essence of each destination.
As a part of the Sofitel Wine Days, there will be events, sessions and meetings with local wine experts that will be held at Sofitel Mumbai BKC. Wine will take centrestage during dinners and brunches, with gourmet menus.
The initiatives planned at the boutique hotel for the Wine Days are an inauguration evening in collaboration with Sanjay Menon, wine importer and owner, Sonarys and Sansula; dinner with Sula; dinner with Berkmann Wine Cellars, and SoHo Taste and Learn Series with Master of Wine Sonal Holland.
Biswajit Chakraborty, general manager, Sofitel Mumbai BKC, said, “A perfect mélange of French art de vivre with the essence of each destination, Sofitel Mumbai BKC provides an ideal framework for guests to learn from master sommeliers.”
“The global initiative brings together Sofitel Hotels and Resorts from around the world, hosting events that delight amateurs and connoisseurs alike as they discover the secrets of wine. A range of exquisite white and red French wines from Artisan’s Vinothéque will be showcased throughout the month of October 2018 at the luxury property,” he added.
The wines served at the inaugural dinner were from Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Loire and Rhône, and were paired with classic dishes from each of these regions by executive chef Neeraj Rawoot.
Wine and Dine with Mr. Sanjay Menon will take place at Jyran Table D’Hote Dinner on October 31. The restaurant will host a seven-course meal, serving authentic cuisine from the Indian North-West Frontier Province. It will include such delicacies such as Kache Aam Ki Lauj, Lobster Malai, Dal Makhni, Bharwan Guchchi Pulao and Mumbai Daab Falooda. It will be paired with exquisite wines.
