Sugana Foods are of the view that proteinaceous foods like chicken and eggs play a crucial role and are low in calories and high in proteins.

Research has pointed to protein deficiency as being highly prevalent in the country and as a result, malnutrition. The recommended dietary allowance (RDA) of protein is 0.8 gram per kilogram of body weight. It is important to include protein-rich food in the daily diet. Chicken and eggs are the most-valued foods for people of all ages, throughout the world. It has become a crucial part of the various culinary traditions and holds a highly nutritious value, according to the company.

Some of the health benefits with chicken and eggs, according to the company, are high protein content that helps in strengthening our bones and muscles. Adequate protein consumption would mean that the stomach stays full for longer, leaving no scope for binge eating. Including chicken two to three times in your diet during the week, along with eggs, will help balance the body weight.

The company also noted that the LDL cholesterol is beneficial for the functioning of the heart and this is found in abundance in eggs. Chicken also contains niacin, a vitamin associated with lower cholesterol, and vitamin B6, which is thought to reduce the risk of heart attack by lowering levels of homocysteine that otherwise prevents the breaking down of certain proteins.

Further both chicken and eggs sharpen brain. Eggs have vitamin D and choline that help in the functioning of nerve cells. The collagen in chicken has anti-anxiety properties that help the body battle stress.

Speaking of the health benefits, Vignesh Soundararajan, executive director, Suguna Food, said, “The mental and physical health of a person is very important and we have witnessed significant shifts in people’s dietary choices as they are now more aware of the need to consume healthy food and avoid junk foods.”

“Keeping this in mind, we introduced and ramped up our Vitamin D egg production recently to provide a healthy and nutritious protein-rich option to our customers. As for chicken it has and will always continue to be the healthiest option an individual to include in the diet and we will continue to focus on nutritious value in our products to provide the best class chicken and eggs to all our consumers,” he added.
