Taj MG Road, Bengaluru, has unveiled its all-new look after extensive renovation - which took place over a 21-month period - to represent a reimagined, redesigned and renewed hotel. Rs 100 crore was invested to upgrade the hotel to a Taj-branded hotel.
Speaking on the launch, Puneet Chhatwal, managing director and chief executive officer, IHCL (Indian Hotels Company Ltd), said, “In keeping with our Aspiration 2022, IHCL restructured its investments towards renovating key Taj hotels. This investment was to ensure that we stay relevant to our ever-evolving global travellers. Also, Taj MG Road is one amongst 15 other Taj hotels to have been enhanced.”
The Trinity Square is the hotel’s new all day-dining restaurant with a trendy al fresco area. The hotel also has the city’s most-loved Chinese restaurant, Memories of China, and the popular Ice Bar.
Manoj Mathew, general manager, Taj MG Road, Bengaluru, said, “The hotel remains a firm favourite with travellers, with its ideal location and dining choices. The customer-centric approach which has been the hallmark of this hotel will continue with renewed passion.”
