About 150 leading executive chefs from three- to five-star properties, fine dining restaurants and heritage hotels from across India will be present at the Yes Chef Conclave, slated to take place at Mumbai’s Hyatt Regency on April 11 and 12, 2017. It is loaded with keynotes and panel discussions, during which the latest trends and attributes of a commercial kitchen in the country will be discussed.
The Indian food service industry is currently valued at $41.3 billion and is growing at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11 per cent. Expected to reach $68 billion by 2018, there is a lot of scope for improvements at a global scale within this industry.
With such industry impetus, it is only important that we organise the main force behind this – the chefs. The National Skill Development Corporation, Incredible India, the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) and Poona Hoteliers’ Association have joined hands with Exito Media Concepts to organise the conclave, the first-ever premium networking platform for chefs.
The format of the conference has been designed to provide learning about the best practices in the industry, define challenges and discuss solutions within the ecosystem, while establishing credible connections among the fraternity. The line-up of speakers includes chef Sanjay Malkani, restaurateur and chef Michael Swamy, chef Surjan Singh Jolly, chef Nilesh Limaye, chef Anjali Pathak, chef Veena Arora and German master chef Jochen Kern.
The content of discussion has been curated keeping the latest trends and transformations in mind.
Key topics include integration of Internet of Things (IoT) with commercial kitchen; leveraging social media to drive business; genetically-modified organisms (GMO) versus organic foods; developing key business models, food and corporate social responsibility (CSR), latest trends in the Indian food industry and many more.
Exito Media Concepts Pvt Ltd is an Indian event company. The meeting designs delivered are based on effective activities in accordance with human networking designs.
Speed networking is one such unique activity that allows up to 200 people to network among themselves within just 30 minutes. This will be a key in getting all the chefs together.
The conference will also leverage questionnaires to help tailor the event as per the attendees’ needs and feedback.
“Today, Indian chefs are no less then their foreign counterparts. Then why should the events for chefs be any less? We wish to introduce our event expertise to the culinary experts in India. This will be a constructive move to bring together like-minded chefs working tirelessly to define the local culinary landscape,” said Rishikesh Shetty, managing director, Exito Media Concepts.
