Danone & Apollo 24|7 join hands to support diabetes management in India

In a ground-breaking move to address the growing diabetes concern in India, Danone (Nutricia International Pvt Ltd), the leading food and nutrition company, has joined hands with Apollo 24|7 for its newly launched Super 6 Diabetes Programme. The programme combines Apollo’s cutting-edge digital healthcare platform with Danone’s expertise in diabetes nutrition to offer a comprehensive solution to support diabetes management.
As the exclusive nutrition partner, the company brings its product, Protinex Diabetes Care (PDC), to support this initiative. PDC, categorised as a Food for Special Dietary Use (FSDU), contains high dietary fibre for gradual absorption, lower carbohydrate content for lower blood sugar release, and a low Glycemic Index (GI) for gradual sugar release, presenting it as a dietary requirement for individual with diabetes.

India is often referred to as the diabetes capital of the world, with an estimated 77 million adults suffering from Type 2 diabetes and another 25 million at high risk of developing the disease.
