Jungbunzlauer unveils TayaGel LA at IFT First 2025
Thursday, 17 July, 2025, 15 : 00 PM [IST]
Basel, Switzerland
Jungbunzlauer is expanding its texturiser offering with the launch of TayaGelLA, a new low-acyl gellan gum. The new product will be unveiled for the first time at IFT FIRST 2025 in Chicago and represents an important milestone in the company's continued investment in innovation, application expertise and label-friendly ingredient solutions.

Developed in response to the increasing demand for plant-based and label-friendly formulations, TayaGel LA offers excellent suspension performance and strong gels with very low consumption. It creates a smooth mouthfeel and has a clean appearance, ideal for applications where clean taste and visual appearance are important.

Jens Birrer, VP texturants at Jungbunzlauer, said, "With TayaGel LA, we are expanding the possibilities for formulators looking for reliable, high-performance, natural-based texturing solutions. Our team of experts works side-by-side with customers to ensure that the desired texture is achieved when texturising agents are integrated or exchanged or combined with our other products such as TayaGel HA. Manufactured with the same reliability, expertise and quality that characterises Jungbunzlauer's broader product portfolio, including acidifiers, sweeteners and mineral salts, these texturising agents allow us to support our customers with more consistent results across a wide range of food, beverage and nutrition applications."
