Meat Pro Asia 2025 kicks off in Bangkok, showcasing global innovations in meat processing

The highly anticipated Meat Pro Asia 2025 opened its doors today at Challenger 1, IMPACT, Bangkok, bringing together global suppliers and industry leaders across 10,000 sqm of exhibition space. Opened on Wednesday, March 12 the event will continue till Friday, March 14, 2025. The second edition of Asia’s premier trade fair for meat, poultry, seafood, and food processing industries features 121 exhibitors unveiling cutting-edge innovations in processing, packaging, automation, cold chain logistics, IoT, quality control, and hygiene.
Alongside the impressive showcase of technology, a comprehensive two-day conference will host over 50 industry experts, addressing key topics such as food safety, sustainable processing, and efficient production methods.
Jack Wong, deputy general manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, expressed excitement about the event’s strong international participation and said, “Meat Pro Asia has become a key platform for the region, bringing global expertise in meat processing to Bangkok. With our extensive industry network, this year’s show will drive innovation and growth, fostering international collaboration and business expansion.”
Adding to the event’s significance, Panadda Kongma, vice president – business, VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific Co Ltd, highlighted the show’s sustainability efforts and said, “By co-locating with VIV Asia and Horti Agri Next Asia, we have created a powerful synergy, attracting over 1,500 exhibitors—93% of whom are from outside Thailand. We are also implementing eco-friendly initiatives, including soy-based ink for printed materials, EV tractors in partnership with DB Schenker, and digital applications to reduce our carbon footprint.”
Prominent brands such as Baader, Duravant, Hi-tec, IFEC, Ishida, Jarvis, Marel, Meyn, Multivac, and Vega will showcase the latest advancements in data analytics, IoT applications, supply chain automation, and sustainable packaging.
The conference programme will feature insightful sessions led by international and regional experts, covering topics such as:
- Advancing Poultry Processing: Digitalisation for Enhanced Quality, Safety, and Sustainability – Astrid Verhoijsen, JBT Marel Poultry
- Food and Packaging Waste Management – Dr. Joseph Ross S. Jocson, president, Asian Packaging Federation (APF)
- Big Changes in GHP 2022: Food Safety Culture, Allergen Management, and Environmental Monitoring – Dr. Suwimon Keeratipibul, Chulalongkorn University

Adding a competitive edge, Meat Pro Asia 2025 will host the Southeast Asian qualifier for the IFFA-DFV Global Meat Product Awards on the first two days of the fair. The winning meat products including sausages and hams will be judged by a panel of independent experts based on appearance, consistency, aroma, and taste. The winners will advance to the World Awards at IFFA in Frankfurt from May 3 to 8, 2025.
