According to the Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) 2018–19 conducted by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI); the output of the food processing sector was approximately $179.9 billion (Rs. 12,76,995 crore) contributing around 12.83% to total output in the manufacturing sector.
