Cropin, the world’s largest deployed AI platform for food and agriculture, has launched the Cropin Ecosystem, an AI-first digital ecosystem aimed at reducing risks and uncertainties across one of the world’s most unpredictable yet critical industries. Developed as Cropin’s flagship initiative, the ecosystem draws inspiration from Silicon Valley’s convergence model and brings together leading technology providers, strategic consulting firms, and satellite and weather intelligence partners.

Designed as a plug-and-play model, the Cropin Ecosystem enables agri-food businesses to navigate challenges related to data interoperability, climate change-induced risks, supply chain disruptions, and geopolitical uncertainties. The ecosystem unites multiple pillars of expertise to deliver predictive intelligence and resilient food systems.

As part of the initiative, BCG provides the strategic roadmap by defining the “why” and “what” of AI-first digital transformation in agri-food, ensuring technology investments deliver tangible business outcomes such as surety of supply. Wipro, through Global HITSS, enables seamless digital integration and global scalability across agri-food, consumer, and adjacent industries.

Google Cloud powers the ecosystem with cloud-enabled scalability and advanced AI capabilities, integrating Generative AI and agentic AI to deliver predictive intelligence, accurate forecasts, and actionable insights. Planet Labs, along with Sentinel-2, Landsat/NASA, and MODIS datasets, combined with on-field intelligence, provides precise field visibility, crop monitoring, and predictive analytics. Meanwhile, The Weather Company, Google Weather, and ERA5 deliver hyper-local and regional climate intelligence to anticipate risks, optimise resources, and model disease and yield outcomes.

Cropin’s farm ERP system integrates seamlessly with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and Salesforce, enabling unified business operations. The company also collaborates with multilateral organisations including the World Bank, IFC, GEF, and EIT Food, while integrating IoT sensors, drone imagery, and mechanisation data for real-time, 360-degree field intelligence.
Commenting on the launch, Krishna Kumar, founder and CEO, Cropin, said the ecosystem aims to modernise traditional crop and supply chains disrupted by climate and geopolitical challenges. He added that the platform enables agri-food companies to transform operations within six months using AI-driven innovation.

Sashikumar Sreedharan, managing director, Google Cloud India, said that Cropin’s ecosystem approach leverages AI and cloud technologies to convert complex data into predictive intelligence, creating resilient and sustainable food systems at scale.
