The cold storage crisis for imported food products at Mumbai International airport continues with importers still being urged to avoid landing of large consignments.It was confirmed by sources in MIAL (Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd) that provision for storing large consignments of food items was not yet made but the smaller ones were welcome.

Prices of Raw Cashew Nuts (RCN) have spurted recently in the international market due to supply constraints. “High RCN prices have made cashews dearer for the processors. Factories which relied on the Indian cashew crops will have to pay high prices, due to which cashew kernel prices are likely to reach new highs after August,” a source from Achal Cashew Industries informed FnB News.
