Bengaluru-based quick service restaurant brand Babai Tiffins has successfully raised a total of Rs 15.5 crore, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey. A majority of the funds, Rs 10.5 crore, were secured during the brand’s appearance on the business reality show Bharat Ke Super Founders (BKSF), co-created by Recur Club and Rusk Media and streamed on Amazon MX Player. This includes a Rs 2.5 crore venture debt infusion from Recur Club, making it one of the largest investments recorded on an Indian business reality show to date.
The funding round saw strong investor confidence, with Warmup Ventures — co-founded by Sharad Bansal leading the raise. Other prominent participants included CDM Capital, Ankur Mittal, Dr. A. Velumani (founder of Thyrocare), Ahana Gautam (Founder of Open Secret), and Shivam Mishra, co-founder of String Ventures. The pitch was among the most oversubscribed and highest rated of the season, highlighting the market’s belief in Babai Tiffins’ potential and its scalable business model.
Founded by friends Allu Siva Rama Krishna Reddy and Ravi Morampudi, Babai Tiffins started with a simple aim that is to serve authentic, everyday vegetarian Andhra meals that customers could enjoy repeatedly. From a single breakfast-centric outlet, the brand has evolved into a structured QSR offering a broad menu of meals, snacks, and traditional favourites, all prepared with consistency and care.
Today, Babai Tiffins operates three outlets in Bengaluru two dine-in restaurants and one cloud kitchen and serves nearly two lakh monthly orders, with an annual revenue run rate of around Rs 50 crore. With the fresh capital, the brand plans to expand to 10 outlets within the next two years and target Rs 150 crore in revenue. A significant portion of the funds will also be used to launch a packaged foods range featuring podis, pickles, sweets, and savouries inspired by traditional Andhra cuisine, helping extend the brand’s reach beyond restaurants into Indian homes.
As demand for authentic regional cuisine grows across India, Babai Tiffins is positioning itself as a leader in the organised regional QSR segment, combining strong operational systems with a compelling cultural food identity.
