As 2025 draws to a close, quick-commerce platform Zepto has released insights that capture how India shopped over the year defined by speed, scale and increasingly curious consumer behaviour. From everyday essentials to quirky combinations, the data highlights how Zepto has become an integral part of daily life across major cities.

During the year, the Zepto app was opened a staggering 3,46,41,64,197 times, reflecting its growing dependence among urban consumers. Delivery partners collectively travelled 24,52,95,068 kilometres, equivalent to a non-stop supersonic journey around the Earth for nearly 11 years. The fastest delivery of the year was completed in just 48 seconds, underlining Zepto’s focus on hyper-speed logistics.

With faster access, competitive pricing and smarter shopping options, Indian consumers collectively saved an estimated Rs 17,000 crore by shopping on Zepto in 2025, reinforcing the platform’s promise of speed with savings at scale.

The year also saw some standout user stories. Yasin from Mumbai placed the highest-value order worth Rs 1.89 lakh, while Rajkumar L emerged as a Zepto legend with 5,894 deliveries, averaging 16 orders a day. Priyanshu from Gurugram led in generosity, tipping delivery partners Rs 54,000 over the year.

City-level trends revealed distinct consumption patterns. In Bengaluru, Nandini milk, tomatoes and chips topped the charts, while coffee and melatonin gummies were frequently ordered together, reflecting the city’s sleep-deprived lifestyle. Mumbai’s most-ordered items included Amul milk, onions and bottled water, with energy drinks consumption crossing 7.84 lakh litres. In Delhi NCR, face masks remained a key essential, while fruit preferences varied sharply between North and South Delhi. Hyderabad showed its love for tradition, ordering over 65,000 kg of Osmania biscuits, even as sugar-free products and sweets were often bought together.

Zepto said 2025 reflected the everyday moments shaping how India shops today, thanking users, delivery partners and teams for driving this journey, while reaffirming its commitment to building smarter, faster and more reliable experiences in the year ahead.
