Sunday brunch underway at Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram Downtown

Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram Downtown will bring Nickelodeon’s popular characters, SpongeBob, Dora, Motu and Patlu, to its patrons at its Sunday brunch, which is underway at Downtown Kitchen and Bar. It will conclude on March 12, 2017.

The brunch, which commences at 12:30pm and concludes at 4pm, will be themed on the basis of these characters, and include their favourite dishes. For instance, SpongeBob loves seafood and Dora loves Spanish food. There will be a plethora of desserts handcrafted by the hotel’s chefs.

While the mocktail brunch is priced at Rs 1,945 (plus taxes) per person, the cocktail brunch is priced at Rs 2,895 (plus taxes) per head. For children between six and twelve years of age, it is priced at Rs 1,000 (plus taxes), while kids under five years of age can dine free.    

Anuj Soin, food and beverage manager, Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram Downtown, said, “We want to give the little ones this unique experience which will entertain them immensely along with their parents.”

“The entire team and myself have studied each character in detail to incorporate their likes and dislikes in the Sunday brunch, making it even more authentic. We really hope all the kids and their parents have a wonderful time at our brunch,” he added.

The brunch menu comprises the following items:

Salads: Motu aalu tikki chaat, avocado with orange and lime, rolled eggplant with goat cheese and fresh basil, glass noodle salad with beetroot jelly, Kasundi marinated baby potato and grilled ricotta salad, grapes and rum jelly with artichoke, tomato and mozzarella salad, haricot bean salad with grilled artichoke and red pepper, Thai spiced fish salad, ham and melon with balsamic, chicken with grill pepper and onion and Motu cheese salad.

Cold display:
Cheese station with condiments and cracker and meat station with condiments and relishes.
 
Antipasti counter: Cold cuts, cheese, marinated olives and condiments.

Sandwiches and burgers:  Tomato Mozzarella focaccia, Open Russian sandwich, Classic chicken tikka sandwich, Mushroom Swiss burger, roast chicken burger and veggie burger.

Starters:
Bharwan aalu, tangri kebab, crispy fish mustard basil and chilli paneer.

Pizzas: Clay pot oven cottage cheese pizza, stuffed mushrooms, caramelised onion and feta cheese pizza, Seafood Marinara pizza and Lakma Al Ajeen stuffed pizza.

Soups: Chicken soup with egg drop and spring onion and roasted potato and cream cheese soup.

Main courses:
Western: Chermoula marinated roast chicken, stir-fried seafood, Moroccan lamb stew, Eggplant Parmegiano and chilli and parsley and giant garlic baby potato.

Asian: Stir-fried vegetable with cashew nut, Chinese greens in soya garlic sauce, chicken in ginger and lemon grass sauce, Hakka noodles and wild mushroom fried rice.

Indian: Nihari gosht, chicken butter masala, Bengali-style fish curry, Bharwan Karela, matar mushroom, gobhi masala, bhindi do pyaza, Dal panchmel, Matar pyyaz pulao and steamed rice.

Biryani station: Subz biryani, Niyamat–e-Arab biryani, Hydrabadi goast biryani, Awadhi murgh biryani, Kolkata andaa aloo biryani, three types of salan and three types of raita.

Live stations and display:
 BBQ at CY grills: Lemon and cilantro marinated chicken, chilli and lemon grass marinated minute steak, char-grilled vegetables, sweet chilli cottage cheese, black pepper marinated pineapple, basil and garlic jumbo eggplant, meat display and seafood display.
 
Carving station:
Oven-roasted stuffed chicken: Buttered Brussels sprouts, baby carrots, shallots, and roasted beetroot, cranberry sauce and raspberry

Red wine braised lamb leg: Cajun spiced turnips, celery sauce, pineapple cinnamon glaze and roast onion gravy

Live pasta station: With three types of pasta and three types of sauce.

Motu favorite samosa counter: Aalu samosa, Potli samosa, matar samosa, dry fruit samosa, tutti-fruity samosa, chicken tikka samosa, spinach and corn samosa and five types of chutneys.

Chaat Bhandaar: Papadi chaat, dahi bhalla, kachori, sev puri, paani puri, dahi puri, aalu ki subzi, channe ki subzi, khatti mithi aalu, dry aalu, ten types of condiments and five types of chutneys.

Desserts:
Chef’s special Indian and western desserts.

Kids’ zone: Veg Hakka noodles, zero-spicy vegetable Manchurian, trio of potato, mac and cheese, spaghetti and meatballs, chilli chicken, paneer makhani, steamed rice and chicken fingers.

Kids’ desserts: Brownie with chocolate sauce, gulab jamun, cupcakes and chef’s choice kids’ special desserts.

Chocolate dip counter: With fruits, candies and nuts
