BofA awards $500,000 grant to Find Regional Food Bank
Tuesday, 03 February, 2026, 15 : 00 PM [IST]
California, USA
Bank of America has announced a $500,000 grant to Find Regional Food Bank to support the completion of its capital campaign for a new 40,000-square-foot warehouse on its Food Security Campus in Indio. This major contribution will help the largest food bank and distribution centre in the region expand its capacity to serve communities facing high levels of food insecurity.

Unveiled at FIND’s annual State of Hunger address for key stakeholders, the grant will fund essential features of the new facility, including extensive cold storage for fresh produce and a fully sustainable rooftop solar array. Together, these infrastructure upgrades form a cornerstone of FIND’s disaster response and resilience strategy, ensuring the food bank can continue operations during emergencies when community needs are at their most critical.

In addition to bolstering the physical campus, the funding will also support workforce development training programmes within the new warehouse — expanding opportunities for local residents to gain valuable skills while contributing to the food bank’s mission. This latest grant builds on nearly $200,000 in previous funding from Bank of America to FIND over the past five years, reflecting a long-standing partnership in the fight against hunger.

Sherri Anderson, President of BofA Inland Empire, emphasised the broader role of food banks today: “Organizations like FIND Regional Food Bank are community hubs for wellness, wrap-around services and even workforce training that collectively help people overcome barriers to economic mobility.” Her remarks highlighted how the new facility and expanded services will help keep nutritious food flowing to those in need, especially during times of crisis.

Debbie Espinosa, President & CEO of Find Regional Food Bank, expressed deep gratitude for Bank of America’s support, noting that the grant not only completes the capital campaign for the warehouse and Workforce Development Training Centre but will also strengthen the organization’s ability to deliver fresh food, educational programs and disaster-resilient infrastructure to its service communities.

The new warehouse project is expected to significantly enhance the food bank’s capacity to meet record-level demand and further its commitment to feeding families, seniors and individuals across the region.
