Aligning with the growing global focus on health and wellness, HERZA Schokolade is set to unveil its latest range of organic chocolate innovations at BIOFACH 2026. Presented under the themes of functional indulgence and clean-label nutrition, the new product launches include the “magic matcha” and “date edition” series, designed to add variety, flavour and visual appeal to snacks, muesli, bakery and ice cream applications.
With holistic wellbeing emerging as a key food industry megatrend for 2026, HERZA’s magic matcha range taps into the popularity of matcha as a superfood known for its antioxidant properties and calming effects. The new organic chocolate pieces combine premium white chocolate with matcha powder in multiple formats, including chopped pieces, arched chips and leaf-shaped designs. Variants are enhanced with lime, blueberry, mocha, caramel chocolate and even a pumpkin spice blend, delivering both vibrant colour and layered flavour profiles. By transforming a traditional Japanese tea ingredient into chocolate inclusions, HERZA brings a contemporary twist to functional indulgence.
Responding to increasing demand for natural sweetening and clean eating, HERZA is also introducing its date edition organic chocolate pieces. Sweetened exclusively with dates instead of refined sugar, these chocolates offer a naturally nutritious alternative rich in fibre, vitamins and minerals. The range includes white date chocolate with sea salt, coconut, strawberry and matcha, alongside semi-sweet date chocolate chips with orange flavour. For added texture, milk chocolate with dates and rice crispies is also featured, while date white chocolate chips with hazelnut paste provide a nutty option for premium formulations.
