Mechline targets Asia growth with smart hygiene and water-saving Innovations at FHA 2026

UK-based catering and hospitality equipment manufacturer Mechline Developments is set to strengthen its footprint in Asia as it participates in FHA Food & Hospitality Asia from April 21 to 24, 2026. The exhibition, regarded as one of the region’s largest food and hospitality trade platforms, marks the beginning of Mechline’s global exhibition calendar this year.

The company’s International team has curated its presence at Stand 2D4-01 to highlight market-relevant solutions tailored to Asian operators. The focus will be on hygiene, safety and environmental efficiency — key priorities for hospitality businesses across the region.

Gary Thacker, Market Development Director at Mechline, said the FHA exhibition has historically played an important role in building brand visibility and partnerships in Asia. He noted that visitors have responded positively to the company’s British manufacturing credentials, regionally accredited products and proven solutions addressing operational challenges.

A major highlight at the stand will be the official Asian launch of the AquaTechnix TX-i Sensor Tap for handwashing. Equipped with time-of-flight infrared sensing and smart-valve technology, the TX-i offers accurate hand detection and automatic shut-off, while reportedly reducing water consumption by up to 72 per cent compared to traditional basin taps. A live demonstration unit will allow visitors to experience the product’s functionality firsthand.

In addition, Mechline will showcase its HyGenikx air and surface sanitisation system, CaterTTract+ and CaterZap+ fly control solutions, along with grease management technologies including GreasePak, BioCeptor, the Food Waste Strainer and BioBrick.

The company aims to use FHA 2026 as a platform to deepen engagement with distributors, customers and industry stakeholders across Asia while identifying future innovation opportunities driven by operator feedback.
