SIGEP World – The World Expo for Foodservice Excellence, organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), is set to return to the Rimini Expo Centre from January 16 to 20, 2026, with its biggest and most international edition yet. The global showcase for gelato, pastry, chocolate, bakery, pizza and coffee will feature 1,300 exhibiting brands and a 28 per cent increase in foreign exhibitors from 45 countries.
Alongside a strong representation of leading Italian companies, SIGEP World 2026 will welcome exhibitors from key global markets including Germany, Spain, France, China, the US, Turkey, Belgium and Denmark. Newcomer countries such as Canada, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Ecuador and Serbia will make their debut, while official national collectives from Saudi Arabia, China, Ukraine and Brazil will also participate. India will be the guest country for 2026, sending a delegation of around 50 top buyers and institutional representatives, along with exhibitors specialising in gelato technologies.
The show’s international stature will be further strengthened by the Top Buyer Programme, which will bring 500 buyers from 75 countries to Rimini. These buyers will include major foodservice chains, importers and distributors, with strong participation from the US, India, Canada and Brazil.
SIGEP World will continue to highlight the complete foodservice supply chain while reflecting the industry’s evolving dynamics. Gelato remains a central focus, supported by initiatives such as What is Gelato? and Gelato Meets Chains, positioning Italian gelato as a global business model for chains and hotels. Pastry, chocolate, bakery, pizza and coffee sectors will showcase innovations in frozen products, sustainability, advanced doughs and responsible sourcing.
A key highlight of the 2026 edition will be the introduction of three new Foodservice Innovation Hubs: the Kitchen Equipment Hub, the Frozen Product Hub and the Digital District. These platforms will spotlight technologies, quality frozen foods, software, smart payments and robotics, offering a forward-looking vision of how foodservice operations, kitchens and dining spaces will evolve globally.
