Slim Chickens expands No Kid Hungry partnership with January mobile app campaign

Fast-casual chicken franchise Slim Chickens is turning digital engagement into social impact this January through an expanded collaboration with national hunger relief campaign No Kid Hungry. Throughout January 2026, the brand is encouraging guests to download its mobile app by linking each new download to a donation that supports children facing food insecurity across the United States. 

Under the limited-time initiative, Slim Chickens will donate $5 to No Kid Hungry for every first-time mobile app download completed between January 1 and January 31, up to a total of $40,000. At the same time, guests who participate will receive $5 in Slim Chickens credit through the app, giving them an immediate incentive to engage digitally while contributing to a meaningful cause. 

The January campaign builds on Slim Chickens’ ongoing commitment to the No Kid Hungry mission, which had already seen the brand pledge $110,000 in support of the organisation. With the January drive included, the total potential contribution could reach $150,000, further strengthening efforts to connect vulnerable children with reliable access to nutritious meals. 

“Food has always been about more than a meal at Slim Chickens — it’s about taking care of the communities we serve,” said Patrick Noone, Chief Marketing Officer of Slim Chickens. He emphasised that the campaign allows everyday guests to make a direct impact simply by downloading the company’s app.

No Kid Hungry’s national strategy focuses on reducing childhood hunger by helping families access healthy food where they live, learn and play. Millions of children in the United States face food insecurity each year, highlighting the importance of sustained partnership efforts like this one. 

To qualify for the donation and receive the Slim Chickens credit, guests must be first-time mobile app users and download the app within the January campaign window. Slim Chickens continues to leverage digital engagement to build community connections and support critical social causes.
