Sugar Foods strengthens North American footprint with new 617,000 Sq. Ft. Indiana facility
Monday, 29 December, 2025, 15 : 00 PM [IST]
Whiteland, Indiana
Sugar Foods, a prominent multinational food manufacturer known for brands like Fresh Gourmet, Cubbison’s, and N’Joy, has announced a major expansion of its national production and distribution network. The company has secured a state-of-the-art 617,000-square-foot facility in Whiteland, Indiana, marking a significant milestone in its growth strategy.

The move is designed to enhance service and capacity for Sugar Foods’ diverse customer base, which spans foodservice, retail, and private label sectors across North America. Strategically located in central Indiana—often referred to as the "Crossroads of America"—the new center is expected to streamline distribution and shipping efficiency for the U.S. and beyond.

The project involves a total investment of approximately $40 million, including $25 million in advanced logistics and production machinery and $15 million in tenant improvements. This expansion is slated to create 105 new full-time positions in the region, with an focus on high-skilled production and warehouse roles.

"This investment in Whiteland is an important milestone in Sugar Foods' growth story," stated Andrea Brule, President and CEO of Sugar Foods. "By expanding our national footprint in a strategic location, we can serve our customers even better—with the capacity, reliability, and innovation they need to grow their own businesses."

The Whiteland facility will operate as a hybrid hub, combining manufacturing and distribution under one roof. Initial operations are expected to focus on the processing of crispy vegetable toppings, with plans to phase in additional production lines for croutons, fruits, nuts, and syrups over the next few years.

Following its acquisition by Pritzker Private Capital in late 2023, Sugar Foods has been on an aggressive path to scale its operations. This new site joins the company's existing network of five facilities across the U.S. and Mexico, reinforcing its position as a leading innovator in both the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and food away from home industries.
