Cornado, a premium corn snack, has recently been launched in Gujarat and Mumbai. It is an offering of SnacAtac, a new-gen snack brand by the Ahmedabad-based Grainspan Foods.

The marketing of the brand was executed by Zero Gravity Communications, and the tagline of the brand is Dare to Resist. It comes from the fact that it is so good that one cannot dare to resist eating it.

Cornado is the first product of the brand, and is filled with the goodness of corn, a crackling crunch, and irresistible flavours.

This is the core positioning of the brand, targeted at the youth and generation next. The brand name, Cornado, combines the words corn and tornado.

The package reflects the same, depicting a tornado of corn and a burst of flavours. Live, bold and peppy colours have been picked for each flavour for easy visual recall.

The snack has zero trans-fat, is a rich source of calcium, high in protein, and made with natural ingredients. Its unique selling propositions (USPs) are on the front of the pack, and the brand story is at the back.

“It is always a challenge when you are launching a product; you have to be mindful of so many different factors that will impact the business. As they say, the first impression is the last impression,” said Khushboo Solanki Sharma, founder, Zero Gravity Communications.

“We are mindful of our young target audience. They like the adrenaline rush and challenges, and are very spontaneous. We havetried to depict such characteristics that blend perfectly with our brand,” she added.
