ProAmpac, a global leader in flexible packaging and material science, has announced the issuance of multiple U.S. patents for its ProActive sustainability recyclable and recycle-ready technologies. These patents reinforce ProAmpac’s leadership in sustainable packaging, offering brands high-performance mono-material solutions that do not compromise functionality or efficiency.

"Securing these patents is a testament to our deep expertise in material science and our relentless drive to push the boundaries of sustainable packaging," said Hesam Tabatabaei, SVP of Global Product Development & Innovation at ProAmpac.
The patented innovations include:
  • ProActive Recyclable R-2000 & R-2050 Series – Mono-material laminated packaging with high heat resistance, clarity, and strong seal characteristics for dry and frozen foods, snacks, pet treats, and liquids.
  • ProActive Recyclable R-1200 – Ideal for dry food packaging, offering excellent heat resistance and tear control.
  • ProActive Recycle Ready RT-4000 – A high-barrier retort pouch that maintains protection through processing, making it a sustainable alternative to traditional foil-based pet and human food pouches.
  • ProActive Recyclable TearLite Pouches – Designed with a built-in scoring feature for controlled opening.
By securing these patents, ProAmpac strengthens its commitment to sustainable packaging and circularity. Through partnerships with leading material and food science institutions, advanced testing at its Collaboration & Innovation Center (CIC), and the ProActive Intelligence smart packaging platform, the company continues to pioneer next-generation sustainable solutions for the food and beverage industry.
