Elanpro, India’s leading commercial refrigeration company, hosted Saksham 2025, a first-of-its-kind, knowledge-led seminar in Bengaluru aimed at promoting safer, compliant and sustainable practices across the food and beverage (F&B) industry.
The one-day initiative brought together over 100 participants, including chefs, hotel engineers, food business operators (FBOs), consultants and academicians, to address real-world challenges faced by commercial kitchens and hospitality establishments. The programme was organised in collaboration with the Hospitality Consultants Forum (HCF).
The seminar was inaugurated in the presence of Pawan Agarwal, Former CEO, FSSAI; Sathyananda B, President–Supply Chain, Café Coffee Day; Subramanya Holla, President, Bruhat Bengaluru Hotel Association; representatives from M.S. Ramaiah College, and Ranjan Jain, Managing Director, Elanpro.
Saksham focused on three key pillars—Safety and Hygiene, Compliance and Audit Readiness, and Sustainability. Expert-led sessions covered food safety fundamentals, commercial kitchen fire-suppression systems, reusable drinking water solutions, grease interception, wastewater management, refrigeration’s role in food integrity, and sustainable food processing practices. The day concluded with a panel discussion on strengthening accountability across the F&B ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, Ranjan Jain, MD, Elanpro, said that as Bengaluru rapidly grows into a major food and hospitality hub, collaborative platforms like Saksham are critical to identifying operational gaps and reinforcing responsible practices across the industry.
Pawan Agarwal, Former CEO, FSSAI, highlighted that compliance remains one of the sector’s biggest challenges and said initiatives like Saksham help businesses understand not just regulatory requirements but the rationale behind them, driving long-term behavioural change. Through Saksham, Elanpro reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening industry standards, promoting energy-efficient refrigeration, and enabling a safer, future-ready food ecosystem through continuous knowledge sharing and capability building.
