South Asia’s largest poultry exhibition, the 17th edition of Poultry India Expo 2025, is set to take place from November 26 to 28 at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hitech City, Hyderabad. A curtain raiser was held in the city on Wednesday, where organisers announced that Telangana chief minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the event as chief guest.
Organised by the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA), the annual event will bring together over 500 exhibitors and 45,000 visitors from 35 to 50 countries, making it the biggest poultry gathering in South Asia. The event will showcase the latest advancements in poultry equipment, feed technology, breeding, egg farming, animal health, nutrition, and poultry production.
Ahead of the exhibition, a Poultry Knowledge Day will be organised on November 25 at HICC Novotel, offering technical sessions, scientific discussions, and training opportunities for professionals and students keen on joining the poultry sector.
IPEMA President Uday Singh Bayas said the expo aims to provide a platform for industry stakeholders to keep abreast of innovations in poultry management, breeding, feed manufacturing, and production techniques. “India is now the second-largest producer of eggs and the fourth-largest producer of chicken globally. This year’s expo will also see participation from international ministries, including a delegation from Uganda led by its Agriculture Minister, to explore India’s poultry success story,” he added.
Highlighting the industry’s contribution to national growth, Bayas noted that India’s poultry sector reflects the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat and aligns with the Prime Minister’s Vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He further emphasized the nutritional importance of eggs and chicken, calling them affordable sources of high-quality protein that can help combat undernutrition in rural India.
The curtain raiser saw participation from several key industry leaders, including K.G. Anand of Venkateshwara Hatcheries, Chitturi Suresh Rayadu of Srinivasa Farms, Dr. K. Balaswamy of NECPC, K. Mohan Reddy of Telangana Poultry Federation, and M.K. Vyas, President of the Indian Poultry Journalists Association. The three-day Poultry India Expo 2025 promises to be a vibrant platform showcasing India’s growing strength and innovation in the global poultry ecosystem.
