Global beverage and snack giant PepsiCo, set to expand its production capacity in India, unveiling plans to establish two more manufacturing facilities, including one in southern India. The move aligns with the company's strategy to double its revenue in the country within the next five years, positioning India as a key driver of global growth.

Jagrut Kotecha, CEO of PepsiCo India & South Asia, highlighted India's double-digit growth and called it a "key anchor" market for the company’s expansion.

It has already invested in greenfield plants in Uttar Pradesh and Assam and is now gearing up for further expansion to enhance production capacity and market reach across the country. The company is focusing on regional preferences, having divided India into nine clusters to cater to diverse consumer tastes.

Under its ‘Faster, Stronger, Better’ strategy, it is strengthening its local capabilities and implementing eco-friendly solutions to align with India's sustainability goals. The expansion plan also aims to create new employment opportunities while boosting domestic manufacturing.

With India emerging as a major growth hub, it is betting big on the market, reinforcing its commitment to long-term investment and expansion in the region.
