Singapore-based food and beverage company Food Empire will invest $37 million to expand its spray-dried soluble coffee manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, by approximately 60 percent. The move supports the group’s vertically integrated strategy and will strengthen its control over the entire coffee production cycle.
The expansion aims to fuel growth in its branded consumer segment, which has seen four consecutive years of record revenue, according to Group CEO Sudeep Nair. He emphasised that the increased capacity will not only bolster the company’s position as a leading player in soluble coffee across Asia, but also act as a critical supply link for its fast-growing consumer brands.
Its ingredients manufacturing business, including freeze-dried and spray-dried coffee, continues to perform strongly. This segment complements its broader portfolio, which features instant beverages and snack foods such as flavoured coffee mixes, cereal blends, and potato chips. The expansion aligns with its long-term strategy of vertical integration and brand development, ensuring sustained growth and market leadership across its global consumer base.
